BURNOUT IS A CAPACITY PROBLEM
Burnout often grows when demands remain high while recovery becomes optional. It is not solved by becoming more efficient at carrying an impossible load. Recovery starts by making demand visible and deciding what can pause, change, or be shared.
USE THE THREE-LIST AUDIT
Write three short lists: must happen, can wait, and needs help. Keep the first list deliberately small. Move at least one item out of must happen, even if your mind initially resists.
BUILD RECOVERY INTO THE DAY
Do not wait for a free weekend. Use transitions as recovery points: three quiet minutes after a meeting, lunch away from a screen, or one boundary around evening messages. Repetition matters more than intensity.
This guide offers general wellbeing education and does not replace care from a qualified mental health professional. Move at your own pace and stop any exercise that feels unsafe.
